Linear Fisheries News

February 10th, 2010 · Uncategorized

Update: Wednesday Feb 10th 2010. Although all lakes are currently free of ice the latest band of cold weather has now moved in, its been snowing on and off all day and some of the stock ponds are part frozen, lets just hope we don’t start to freeze again as the fish are just starting to move with captures reported from Unity, Brasenose-1, Oxlease and Hunts Corner Lakes over the last 3-4 days. In the mean time we still advise that you contact the fishery before making you’re journey to avoid a wasted trip just in case it freeze’s again. For further updates keep an eye on this web site or you can contact Roy Parsons on 07885 327708.

Gaz Farehams Profile

February 1st, 2010 · Uncategorized

Profile
Gaz Fareham is one of the most recognisable faces on the UK carp fishing scene and a key member of the Trakker consultancy team.

You only have to look at Gaz’s impressive list of captures from some of the most difficult lakes in the country, such as Heather from the Car Park Lake, to realise that he is a truly gifted angler. Gaz’s strengths range from stalking to fishing at distance plus bait and rig application, which he uses to his full advantage in any given situation. He is also a very talented artist and has had his illustrations published in numerous books and magazines. Gaz is a very likeable character and will be regularly updating his blog and sharing his latest hints and tips.

Richard cash Farnans profile

February 1st, 2010 · Uncategorized

Profile
Cash fished the circuit waters a number of years ago, including Horton, Kingsmead, Yateley, Longfield, Frimley, but over the last few years has preferred the pursuit of the little known waters, the ones off the beaten track – some unknown/yet discovered. His drive for these quiet venues began with the Wraysbury Diving Lake and has continued through to where he currently lives in the Cotswolds, where he now runs his own syndicate on a virtually unknown water.

Cash also enjoys European fishing, having fished in France, Spain and Holland and has ventured across the water to fish in America. He has been in the trade for the last eight years, starting at Gardner Tackle where he developed various products, some of the bigger sellers were the range of Sufix hooklinks and the famed Mugga hooks. The next move was into publishing where he worked for David Hall Publishing on both Total & Advanced Carp. His product and marketing knowledge grew, and his understanding of the industry became extensive.

A salesman by trade, Cash is a dedicated angler who works hard to achieve his targets whilst balancing a work and family life. You’ll still find him on the bank at least once a week, whether that’s a quick overnighter or a few hours stalking. He is currently targeting an unknown, uncaught UK 40.

Age: 36
UK PB: 50lb 12oz
